The fourth is only a couple days away and that means July 4th weddings this weekend! We’ve had all things americana on our minds (think: red strips, sparkler send offs, Jackie O, blue suits, lobster rolls, and firecracker popsicles). And yes, we know it’s easy to get a little cheesy with this wedding theme. But, Dorothy, we’re not in Kansas anymore and throwing a patriotic bash doesn’t mean you have to go gingham (though this Carolina Herrera skirt from a previous post makes a pretty convincing case). This Independence Day inspiration is all about all the ways to pledge allegiance that they didn’t teach you in school.
One of our favorite ways to #doyou for a 4th of July wedding is to play up patriotic colors in unexpected floral prints instead of the usual red, white, and blue solid or striped fabrics. Check out the gallery above to see what we’re talking about and experience everything your country can do for you on your big day.
